C3.1 Fair Treatment


All advertising shall be truthful and clear.  Provide clear, concise and comprehensible terms in contracts and agreements. Maintain a fair policy for returns and cancellations, when applicable.


Applies to all businesses.


The AA Report shall include statements directly and clearly addressing the requirement.

Fairness is a highly subjective criterion, but benefit corporations should strive to achieve fairness in their dealings as a method of improving the performance of the entity in terms of customer, employee and supplier retention, and business reputation.
